Comments: Wanted to try walking the water stops in prep for Gulf Coast half ironman. Walked all through 10, then just ran the rest. It worked really well. Not something I have done in an organized fashion in the past, but think it will help me at the tri. Post race
Warm down: Had a bottle of amino vital pro recovery drink in the vehicle. That seems to help quite a bit. Then coffee of course! What limited your ability to perform faster: My fat butt which is less fat then it was. Event comments: Thought the race org was pretty good. Mileage was way off which is really very poor. It did not bother me, but my training partner just started doing this stuff and was looking for a PR. She actually ran the long course faster then her PR, but would have liked for it to be a true 13.1. Two tenths off is pretty significant.
