Swim
Comments: Heh. Should have won the AG, but I was literally one second behind the AG winner. I drafted him the whole way, and I planned on passing him with 200 to go. But I didn't. I suck. But I'm OK with it :) What would you do differently?: Swim a little more the week before, I did not find the mojo till about 300 yards in, and I turned on the afterburners and took off from the pack. Transition 1
Comments: Fine. Whatever. First one this year. I was satisfied with the effort. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Bike
Comments: Good solid ride. I made the executive decision last night to take the aero bars off. I've been riding with them and I CANNOT get comfortable on them. Decided for a sprint they weren't needed. I rode pretty well, 20.7 MPH is not bad. I didn't get the new seatpost, I need a new rear tire, and my chain is worn out. All 3 factored in, but whatever. I gave 100% mentally and physically. I was happy. What would you do differently?: Get a new bike. Transition 2
Comments: I suck at T2. But the time was not bad. I'll take it. What would you do differently?: Nothing, just put some Yankz in my new running shoes. Run
Comments: I love the Summer OPEN run. I put in a solid effort, but my running still leaves a lot to be desired. I was a couple minutes ahead of Wavedog coming out of T2, and he blew by me @ mile 2. I will continue to get better. I no longer hate the run! What would you do differently?: Not much, this was fine for me. Post race
Warm down: Met up with Wavedog and TriOK, cheered in Kate, ate, drank some water. Felt really good. I told Kate on the way out I was ready to do this one again. LOL What limited your ability to perform faster: Ah. Many things. Probably mostly that I am fat. And old. :) Event comments: Without Limits once again puts on a fantastic race! I plan on doing this every year going forward. Short, fast course with lots of cool athletes. Totally great day! Last updated: 2010-04-12 12:00 AM

4 shots of espresso and a juice smoothie. I didn't expect jack of myself today as I was in Chicago last week and I was eating crap and barely working out. On the bright side, Kate and I stayed @ the Marriott in Longmont so we were able to sleep til 6, and I was well rested. I was very excited to race today- last race was last September. I LOVE this sport!
Ran 1/2 mile along the dirt trail, really relaxed. Stretched out a lot, left quad and left calf were tight as can be. I also swam a little, about 300 yards total. Water was 61 degrees and less than refreshing.
