SWIMMING IS BY FAR MY WORST EVENT. I CAME OUT OF THE WATER ALMOST4-5 MINUTES OFF THE FRONT GROUP

I FELT GOOD AND FAST. PUT ON CYCLING SHOES WITHOUT SOCKS FOR THE FIRST TIME. FELT GOOD.

I RODE HARDER THAN I EVER HAVE. I KNOW THE SPEED DOES NOT REFLET IT BUT THERE WERE MANY TURNS. DUE TO MY SLOW SWIM, I WAS PLAYING CATCH UP. I CAME OUT OF THE POOL IN 44TH OVERALL AND CAME INTO THE T2 IN 9TH PLACE. I WAS DYING TRYING TO CATCH PEOPLE.
What would you do differently?:

NOTHING, I GAVE IT 100 PERCENT.

I HAD A LITTLE TROUBLE GETTING MY RUNNING SHOES ON. BUT ONCE THEY WERE ON, I TOOK OFF LIKE A BAT.

PRACTICE PUTTING MY SHOES ON WITHOUT SOCKS.

I RAN THE FIRST MILE REALLY FAST SINCE I ALEADY KNEW THAT I WAS IN THE TOP TEN. I CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF THE SOME RUNNERS AHEAD OF ME AFTER A MILE. I SLOWED DOWN FOR ABOUT A QUATER MILE TO RECOVER AND THEN PICKED UP ENOUGH TO GET INTO 5TH PLACE OVERALL.
