Swim
Comments: Felt good on the swim, definately could feel the effects of schlepping 5 gallon water jugs around the day before. Tried to draft as much as possible. What would you do differently?: Not much, sighted well, swam hard. Transition 1
Comments: Good transition, probably should have put the bike shoes on first instead of riding on top of them, lost some time getting into the shoes. Feet were a little cold so maybe that was it. What would you do differently?: Nada. Bike
Comments: Pretty strong headwind on 53, tailwind on the lake road. Headwind did not bother me as I'm used to riding at the beach where it's always windy. Got passed by 3 in my AG, swapped the lead with one 2 or 3 times then tried to make sure that I could keep them in my sights and maybe chase them down on the run. What would you do differently?: Not much, decent bike for me. Transition 2
Comments: Good transition, no problems. Run
Comments: Great run for me, might be my best 5k in a race, if not it was pretty close. The weather was so cool did not sweat much. I saw John at the turn around, tried to hide and reel him in. He saw me and picked it up, I gave it what I had but missed by 10 seconds. What would you do differently?: Probably should have realized earlier in the run that there would be a tailwind on the return run. I could have pushed it harder on the first part and used the wind to my advantage on the second half. Felt great on the run though. Post race
Warm down: Grabbed some water and some orange slices, too cold to take a dip in the lake this weekend:) Event comments: Took a minute or so off of last years time, pretty happy considering that I was probably still a little tired from the half the previous weekend. Love these two weekends, fun working and racing. Last updated: 2010-04-12 12:00 AM

Woke up at 4:45, had a bannana and some coffee. Started coning at 5:30 and ate a pb sandwich at about 6am. Finished up before 7.
Saw Carol as I was walking down to the swim start, she come out to cheer people on.
Rode just a little and ran maybe a mile. It was chilly out and I did not want to sweat then stand around waiting.
