Comments: This was just meant to be a 1:45 training run as part of leading up to the Florida 70.3 in 4 weeks. Kept my HR in check for the first hour, and then did 2 x 10 min med-harm effort with a 5 min recovery jog in between. This was interesting, as I would start passing people, and then get caught by the same people a few minutes later. I finished the run with 20 minutes harder effort. High zone 4, definitely not zone 5. Last time I spent a prolonged period of time in Z5 I coulnd't walk properly for a few days, and I needed to make sure I'd be ready for more run+bike training by Tuesday. Overall very happy with my performance. Weight loss rocks! PR'ed by over 8 minutes and felt better afterwards than the previous PR. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Post race
Warm down: Lots of food like 60 seconds after I finished. Maybe a mistake. What limited your ability to perform faster: Couldn't let myself go all out.
