Swim
Comments: The swim felt longer than 440 yards. By comparing times with the previous year, it looks like it was about 50 to 80 yards longer. I noticed other swimmers a lot more this year. I also got kicked in the nose, which was not fun. What would you do differently?: Alternate breathing better. Sight better. Transition 1
Comments: Happy with this transition. Bike
Comments: I tried to get after the bike. I think I may have pushed to hard, but I was really happy with my bike time. What would you do differently?: Train harder on the bike. Also incorporate more bricks in the workout. Transition 2
Comments: I missed my rack so I had to turn around, so I wasted some time. Also had some trouble getting the socks on. What would you do differently?: I would get running shoes that I can wear without socks. Run
Comments: Terrible run. I was looking to break 7 min pace and failed. I think part of the reason was that I pushed the bike to hard. What would you do differently?: I need to work harder to get my legs conditioned for the bike to run transition. After pushing the bike hard, I had nothing left. I also need to work on my running form. Post race
Warm down: Walked around. Had some gatorade. What limited your ability to perform faster: Pushing the bike a little to hard really hurt my run. I need to work on finding the balance between the bike and run so I can maximize my potential in each. Event comments: I enjoyed this race. Very family friendly. I was especially lucky as my family was able to be there to cheer me on. It was fun to have J there competing and nearly winning. Next year I WILL break 1 hour. Last updated: 2010-04-16 12:00 AM

Woke at 5am after a terrible nights sleep. Had a bagel with peanut butter on it and some water. Got a coffee on the way.
