Pre-race routine:

Got there early and got a good spot on bike rack. Hung around too long before swim start.

Warm down:

Took quite a while to get my heart rate down. Kept moving, had a water, had a sandwich from Jersey Mikes (Thanks). Had a massage and boy was I sore. Stretched out and kept walking around and cheered in other people.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Need to keep working on keeping my heart rate down in the 140s. A new bike (Newer than my 30 year old Nishiki) couldn't hurt. I also have to find a place to train on hills.

Event comments:

For a first race I think they did a good job. They shortened the bike course from what was planned (Thanks) and changed the swim from left lane to right lane (Confused me under the lane dividers). I will come back next year.
