Pre-race routine:

Left the house about 5:45am. Ate a Mojo bar on the drive over.
Event warmup:

Registered and picked up my packet. Realized they gave me a bib for the 1 mile race rather than the 10K so had to wait again to exchange it and get a new chip. Volunteer scribbled down the new info on a scrap of paper.
Met up with Woodlands Fit friends ... Michelle, Bridget, Sydney, Patti, Donna. The race was about 45 minutes late starting and was VERY disorganized.

Had a great time running with Patti again. Passed up Sydney at one point. Pace was good until the last hill!

Warm down:

Had some Blue Bell ice cream and waited for Michelle and Bridgett to finish up.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training over the prior couple of weeks.

Event comments:

I would not consider doing this race again. It was very disorganized. Not surprising, they didn't have my time posted initially since I had been given the wrong race bib. The race started about 45 minutes late and they had no water at the start line. Many of the runners were still down the hill when the race started because there was no communication as to what was going on.
