Swim
  • 33m 43s
  • 1640 yards
  • 02m 04s / 100 yards
Comments:

Only good thing about swim was that I didnt get stung by a jelly fish or portuguese man o war. although it took about 400 meters to get comfortable with the rolling waves. I didnt feel good at the end of my swim.
What would you do differently?:

I would force myself to get my breathing down quicker. Heart rate was racing as usual at the start whucih cuased a little bit of hyperventalating but not as much as before so improving a bit.

Transition 1
  • 04m
Comments:

took forever just to get to my bike. need to figure out sock bike show combo to cut on time.
What would you do differently?:

not wear sox anymore maybe??

  • 26 miles
  • 20.17 mile/hr
Comments:

Rolling with a hybrid trek rental bike so considering, I didn't think i did that bad.
What would you do differently?:

eat more on my bike. hamstrings started to tighten again at end of 40 k
Transition 2
  • 02m 42s
Comments:

Not sure how it took so long but must be the transition area being so vast.
What would you do differently?:

buy slip on race shoes perhaps
Run
  • 50m 57s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 08m 12s  min/mile
Comments:

Had problems with my legs tensing up. a loss of electrolytes and not eating the powerbar i had packed on bike may have been the cause. slight dehydration at end of run when sun started to heat things up.
What would you do differently?:

Eat more. Or actually drink more shakes during bike.
Post race
Warm down:

jump in the ocean and avoided the baby jelly fish. wlaked around aimlessly waiting for teamate to finish his race.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Proper fueling, failed to get a few bricks in training before race

Event comments:

Loved it. Couldn't believe the weather and how beautiful Florida was.
