Swim
Comments: Had a great swim this is the farthest distance I have swam to date. Started the race at the bulkhead was fortunate enough to swim in the shallow side of the pool. What would you do differently?: Get a lap counter. Other athletes I spoke with swam extra laps due to the volunteers. Also get to my lane faster, there were six people in my lane. Transition 1
Bike
Comments: Great flat course. Passed 7-10 people. Never got passed. What would you do differently?: Pay more attention to the yellow signs. There werent volunteers at some of the corners and the last corner into the tran area I missed and had to circle back about 100yards. Transition 2
Comments: There seemed to be some confusion on where to dismount the bike in later heats. My heat was fine but heard of complaints with other athletes. Run
Comments: Great course through town and even a section through a local park. What would you do differently?: Judge the weather more accurately. I wore a long sleeved shirt for the bike section and kept it on for the run to lower my tran time. The weather was warmer than anticipated so the long sleeves were not a good idea. Post race
Warm down: Walked a few laps on the track. What limited your ability to perform faster: NEED TO IMPROVE ON MY RUN. Event comments: More volunteers needed, this might be due to lack of experience but the beaver freezer seemed to be more organized. Overall it was a fun race and will do it again next year. As always made new friends and had a great time. Last updated: 2010-04-18 12:00 AM
