Not freak out since it was my first race.
Event warmup:

Not much. Need to take some swim laps before the race starts.

did really well on the swim since i was in the first heat of women
What would you do differently?:

I would take a couple warm laps because i when i started, my breathing was very choppy. couldn't catch my breath until the first bouy where i got my stroke

i actually didn't have bike shoes so i put my running shoes on. had to sit down to do that. wasn't not pleased with T1. also, only had a bathing suit for the swim, so ended up putting on shorts & a tech shirt so that ate up some time.
What would you do differently?:

definitely buying a tri/bike outfit to swim in next race. can cut out some of my time just by a better outfit.

What would you do differently?:

Get a better bike! First race was on a mountain bike I borrowed from a friend. I think i'd do much better with at least foot cages & aero bars & the ability to get my waterbottle out of the holder! also would like a differential between bike & T2 time

need to do more BRICKS but i didn't stop! VERY VERY happy with my run time. I was averaging 10 min miles so either the course was short, or i was mucho faster than i thought!

Warm down:

got a banana, drank some water & walked around...little bit of stretching

What limited your ability to perform faster:

really would like a better bike (at least cages for my feet & aero bars) and to swim in my running/biking outfit. i tried not to push too hard to make sure i finished everything but i think i could make up some time on the bike and maybe even the swim if i had my wits about me & pushed a little harder.

Event comments:

1st year for the event. The packet pick-up was a nightmare because it was at a bad location with little parking. Morning of the race was dis-organized as well and not clearly lineated. Race started late because of the lines waiting to get body-markings.
