Pre-race routine:

Felt rushed....my wife came to the race with me and it took long than expected for her to get out of the house in the morning. I was rushing to get everything set up prior to the race
Event warmup:

N/A-I didn't have any time...I was rushing to get to the swim start on time.
Swim
  • 48m 43s
  • 2112 yards
  • 02m 19s / 100 yards
Comments:

I had a descent swim...it felt like it took me longer than last year to swim...looking at last years race report, it did...approx 3min
What would you do differently?:

Get to swim start earlier and push myself a little more in the beginning of the race
Transition 1
  • 03m 10s
Comments:

This transition felt good.
What would you do differently?:

I need to figure out my sunblock issue...it takes a little bit to apply
Bike
  • 3h 25m 33s
  • 56 miles
  • 16.35 mile/hr
Comments:

I was able to pass about 12 people this year on the way in. It gave me some confidence and it reflected on my split time.

Split 1: 15.25mph (1:50:11)
Split 2: 17.62mph (1:35:22)

2009: 3:23:19
2010: 3:25:33
What would you do differently?:

Pushed a little harded on the way out...but looking back I am happy with the ride. I was not as exhausted after the ride and it reflected on the run. I just need to get faster overall on the bike.
Transition 2
  • 04m 10s
Comments:

I took a little more time in T2...I had to put my running socks on and applied sunblock
What would you do differently?:

Get faster
Run
  • 2h 20m 13s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 10m 42s  min/mile
Comments:

I had a really good pace in the beginning but I slowed down with every lap.
What would you do differently?:

Keep pushing the pace and try to run through a few more water stops.

2009: 2:31:48
2010: 2:20:13
Post race
Event comments:

Overall pleased with race....I paid attention to my body alot more on the bike and felt a lot better after the race. I was also happy that I didn't get sunburned. It feels good to see some improvement over last year.
