Comments:

Started out with a buddy who talked the entire time (3 miles or so) til she had to stop due to fatigue and potty break. I can't run and talk at the same time too well so it got me goofed up from the get go. I then was not up on liquid intake and had not eaten enough prior. Also, I just started to run out of gas at around mile 7-8. Legs started to 'hurt' by 10 and it was a sufferfest to finish. I stopped to stretch at one point and walked thru the last few h20 stops to get liquid into me. I did not train enough and it showed. Had hoped to beat my last 13.1 but oh well. Live and learn.
What would you do differently?:

Train more and stick to my plan with running alone instead of chatting lots. Love my buds but wanted to race and save the chat for after.
Post race
Warm down:

A bit wobbly afterwards. Needed water and the crowd was big so I got over near the band and chilled while watching others race. Ate some bread and fruit but brats were not high on my food wishes. Did take a bite of a friend's but that was all I wanted. Hit the diner breakfast with the family just after noon anyhow.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of lots of long runs. strength, hydration, and not enough foodies in the am.

Event comments:

Best part - Lambeau! Goosebumps and carried me to the end! Too bad my legs were so shot...not up for the Lambeau leap ;)

Performance: Below average
Course: Big loop around town thru neighborhoods, some HILLS and the big finish was through Lambeau and out to finish line. Best part - loud pumped up music in Lambeau with spectators high fiving! Worse scene was actually after I finished and I watched some marathoners finish. One guy had crapped his pants and everyone was yelling Yay! Wooot Go! until he passed by and we saw the brown crap all over his legs..then the crowd when 'oh'...and quiet. No matter how close I was to winning a race, I think I'd forego the first place photo finish with crap on my legs and instead hit the porto pots!
