Pre-race routine:

Cereal and Sunkist for breakfast. Water and gel about 15 minutes before race.
Event warmup:

Light jog to get my packet, to the car and back to the start, maybe 10 minutes total.

Comments:

Decided on Tuesday that I'd follow the 1:40 pace group. Which I did through mile 11, then without thinking took off. Very pleased with how I finished, makes me wonder how fast I can go?
Cool day, and regulated my temp very well with hat and arm warmers removed then put back on.
What would you do differently?:

Can't complain with a PR.

Warm down:

Normal stretch, talked to a couple guys I went to high school with.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

6:48 last mile. Didn't know I had that pace in me.

Event comments:

No warning to start. Wish the cups on course were bigger.

Course: Windy. Start at the park, head out of town and do a big, wind exposed loop, back to the park. Lots of rolling hills, no big climbs though.
