Run
Comments: Tried to go at a nice pace from the beginning (I didn't want to start to fast). Felt good up until about 7K - hit a bit of a wall. Tried to motivate myself to pick it up around 8 1/2K when I realized I wasn't even breathing that heavy. Ran strong for the last 1.5K. Took a drink at around 5K. I was very excited when I came towards the finish line and seen that the clock still said 52.XX. My fastest 10K before this was 54:27. What would you do differently?: Not bike 60K the day before? haha. I have to wonder if I could have went even faster if I hadn't biked. Post race
Warm down: Walked around a lot before deciding to go home. Had some yogurt and chocolate milk. What limited your ability to perform faster: Possibly my long bike the day before the race? Event comments: The only downside to the race would be that it is busy. You have to make sure you start right up where you should be on the start line (maybe even slightly ahead of your pace). Many people start up near the front that shouldnt. Last updated: 2010-04-28 12:00 AM

Had some toast for breakfast and juice. Drove down to the race. It was cold and wet with a rain/snow mix coming down.
Jogged around lightly for about 15 min then went to the start lineup.
