Swim
Comments: A bit of a crazy swim, kept having guys stop in front of me to look where they were going and guys kept V'ing in front of me so i couldn't get by. What would you do differently?: Go for a much faster start to get the heck out of the crowd. Transition 1
Comments: About 100 yds after the timing gate is where the bike mount is, as i was about to get on my bike i notice my Computer is Gone! Fuckitall! Shit! so like a dumbass, i drop my bike and follow my path back to the timing gate looking for my comptuer. About half way i decide, i'm probably not going to find it, head back to my bike and go. What would you do differently?: I think the computer got knocked loose when i unracked my bike - so try not to hit the computer on the rack and check to make sure it's on after unracking. Bike
Comments: Should not have tried to pass people on the hills. I would have been better off just dropping a gear and staying with them, then getting by them at the top of the hill. What would you do differently?: Practice hills, try to have a more consistent pace on the hills. Transition 2
Comments: My calves and sides were cramping when i got off of the bike, so i was having enough trouble walking never mind running. What would you do differently?: Drink less pre-race. I think i over-hydrated, it was very humid, that could have had something to do with it to. Run
Comments: This was bad. I was cramping coming off the bike, so i started out real slow, immediately went up a hill, couldnt' speed up any from there. Finally got to a flat stretch where i could loosen up a bit. I probably could have pushed harder, but i wasn't sure how far was left and i didn't want to have to start walking. What would you do differently?: Not drink as much pre-race. Not push so hard on the bike, especially at the end. Post race
Warm down: Not much of a warm down, i did stretch a little while i was having my complentary Michelob Ultra. What limited your ability to perform faster: I really wasn't feeling my best going into this race. My stomach was bothering me a little bit. I also think i got a little stressed out with the registration process. It took much longer than it should have (twice) and it didn't leave me much time to warm up. I drank about a half a bottle of gatorade on the ride up - i'll just have water next time and not as much. See how that works out. Event comments: For a mid-week mini-sprint training race - they have all of the bases covered. They had police directing traffic at the intersections, plenty of volunteers on the course directing us where to go. It's a very well organized race. Last updated: 2010-04-29 12:00 AM

Had planned on having enough time for a full, run, bike, swim warm-up - but with all the registration crazyness, only had time for a short 5 minute run.
