Pre-race routine:

Yogurt, english muffin and peanut butter for breakfast along with water with CamelBak Elixir.
Event warmup:

Walk to the starting line (around 3-4 blocks). Honestly, this distance was my max and I planned on warm up being during the race.

Comments:

Honestly, I felt great most of the run. Yes it was hard and yes there was some pain but overall it just rocked my world. I can't wait until the next one.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing on race day.
Post race
Warm down:

Uh, wandering looking for people. Not much. Ice bath once I got home.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

More miles in training. Really, I think I did really good for where I'm at with run fitness. I'm going to build more base miles over the winter and next year we'll see where that gets me.

Event comments:

Wish they'd had bags at the finish as we gathered our food. Wish Gu was available earlier on the course.

Course: Fairly flat, in downtown Denver winding through LoDo, City Park and Cheeseman Park. Great course, great spectating opportunities. Well supported with the exception of Gu not being available until mile 10.
