Comments: Went out to fast. First mile was 6:57. Was able to adjust and came up with a good race. Shawn finished a couple minutes ahead of me. I beat someone I've been wanting to beat for a long time. Yay me. I did PR this race also. :) What would you do differently?: Not drink strong tasting milk. Also, have a better meal the night before. I don't think Chicken Nuggets and Mashed Potatoes was a good night before meal. Post race
Warm down: Walked a bit and socialized with people. What limited your ability to perform faster: Bad milk and bad night before meal. Event comments: Once again I'm very pleased with this race. Great volunteers and great Swag. Even recieved Finisher's Medals. Someone donated them. Very family friendly. My mom, grandparents, and uncle came to watch. I plan on continuing to run this race in the future. Just a note: Deener ran her 1st 5K today. Very proud of her. Finished 39:13. Also, Makalah and Ian did the mile. Proud of them as well. Got up early to eat, shower, shave, and then get the gear ready. After getting the kids ready, we realized we were running a bit late. Once there, we had enough time to get the numbers and do some quick light stretches. Had a little stomach sickness prior to the race. I think bad milk.
Got the heart rate up by being late. :) A little light stretching.
