Comments: Got into a rhythm and just kept on truckin' What would you do differently?: Not a darned thing. Transition 1
Comments: I could have done this a bit cleaner but I was alone at the bike start so I went ahead and took my time. Bike
Comments: That was GREAT. I enjoyed the hell out of that bike. It was starting to get crowded on the third loop but was still spread out enough that there was no real question about drafting or people being stupid and blocking due to inattentiveness. What would you do differently?: Nothing, I was just having fun for the course. Transition 2
Comments: I've been doing longer runs for my HIM earlier this year and my IM later so I've been wearing socks. I decided to go ahead and put them on for this run as well. That took a bit of time. Run
Comments: There is no way that was 2.6 miles. I'd guess 2.3 or so. I was running around a 9 minute mile and I could even be talked into believing 8:45 or so but not in the 7's. Still I'm happy as all get out with this run. Post race
Warm down: Stood around getting sunburned waiting for the awards to be given out. They give out neat door prizes so it's worth it to stick around. What limited your ability to perform faster: I can't run to save my life. Getting better but still resemble an arthritic buffalo. Event comments: This race is a GREAT little race and is put on by people who care about getting beginners into the sport. I did roughly this same race a couple years ago as my first race and came in literally at the 50% mark of the overall. Last updated: 2010-05-07 12:00 AM
