Swim
Comments: I started at the front of my wave and quickly move to the inside lane to avoid the traffic on the outside. I was able to quickly get into my stroke and breathing rhythm. What would you do differently?: Pick up the pace a little bit. Swim isn't my strong point but I think I can turn it up a little. Transition 1
Comments: It was a LONG run from swim exit to the transition area. That accounted for most of my time. Got helmet and shoes on and was on my way. What would you do differently?: Strap my cycling shoes. I made a fatal error of not doing that and was never able to get my left foot strapped in. Bike
Comments: Not having my left foot strapped in my shoe really got my mental game. I tried at least ten times to get it strapped but couldn't. I kept letting myself fall into an easier pace rather than race pace. Still a decent time, just not great. What would you do differently?: Get strapped in on my shoes. Keep my TT pace going! Transition 2
Comments: Everyone had to come to a complete stop before dismounting. It was a shorter distance to the T2 area so not too bad. What would you do differently?: Run harder out of transition. It was far to the next timing sensor to begin run time. Run
Comments: Legs were really heavy and hurting. Didn't feel like I could push the pace. Mouth was really dry although I felt hydrated. What would you do differently?: Train harder & run faster. Post race
Warm down: Lots of cool down stretches. Paid a visit to the ART tent for some help on the IT band. Recovery drinks. Event comments: Everything was wonderful, but need more portapotties!! Last updated: 2010-05-11 12:00 AM

Woke up at 4:30, ate peanut butter toast, bannana; drank coffee, OJ & FRS. Just before start had Hammer anti-fatigue caps and Hammer espresso gel.
Opted out of not swimming prior to start due to windy conditions and didn't want to freeze before the start. Also ended up not being able to have time to do a warm up run due to the length of lines at the porta potty.
