Swim
Comments: They let everyone wear wetsuits but someone told me the water temperature was over 80 degrees, it felt like bath water. The start this year was a wave start with a time trial format for each wave. Participants would go off every three seconds. The start was probably smoother but it did cause congestion for the whole swim. Probably good practice. Transition 1
Bike
Comments: This is a great course with very nice roads for the most part. Couple of railroad tracks to cross but otherwise no complaints. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Steep uphill for the first mile that will definitely get the heart rate up but you eventually get to come back down a portion of it which helps everybodys average pace for the run. Post race
Event comments: Fun tri that is well run. Last updated: 2010-05-11 12:00 AM

Got up at 0510 and had the usual breakfast of cheerios and a banana. Left the house around 0545 and headed to Chaska. Found a parking spot got unloaded and headed to transition. I was surprised to find the bike racks so full this year. Next year they may need to add a few more racks.
Pre race briefing is ar 0715 and the first wave/time trial start goes at 0730. There is very little time to get in the water and warm up before they ask everyone to get out of the water. I swam maybe 50 meters as a warm up.
