![]() Swim
Comments: They let everyone wear wetsuits but someone told me the water temperature was over 80 degrees, it felt like bath water. The start this year was a wave start with a time trial format for each wave. Participants would go off every three seconds. The start was probably smoother but it did cause congestion for the whole swim. Probably good practice. ![]() Transition 1
![]() Bike
Comments: This is a great course with very nice roads for the most part. Couple of railroad tracks to cross but otherwise no complaints. ![]() Transition 2
![]() Run
Comments: Steep uphill for the first mile that will definitely get the heart rate up but you eventually get to come back down a portion of it which helps everybodys average pace for the run. ![]() Post race
Event comments: Fun tri that is well run. Last updated: 2010-05-11 12:00 AM

Got up at 0510 and had the usual breakfast of cheerios and a banana. Left the house around 0545 and headed to Chaska. Found a parking spot got unloaded and headed to transition. I was surprised to find the bike racks so full this year. Next year they may need to add a few more racks.
Pre race briefing is ar 0715 and the first wave/time trial start goes at 0730. There is very little time to get in the water and warm up before they ask everyone to get out of the water. I swam maybe 50 meters as a warm up.
