Swim
Comments: In some ways, the swim was easier than I thought it would be. I took it easy, didn't hyperventilate. BUT, i swam at least 100 yards more than I should have due to poor navigation. I really need to improve this. But, I know I can fix it with practice in open water What would you do differently?: Check where I am going more often Transition 1
Comments: First transition ever and really sucked. I was a little disoriented. I was a little disorganized and very slow--but delibrete. Didn't want to do anything wrong What would you do differently?: Speed it up. No excuses after the first race Bike
Comments: The bike was OK. Caught several people. Pre-race training rides helped because I knew what to expect. By the end of the ride, I felt pretty good. What would you do differently?: Probably press a little more. I save energy for the run Transition 2

Comments: I had run this course before and hated it. I din't like it any better in race. Had to walk up majority of steepest hill. Rocks messing with ankles and it was getting hotter by the minute. Some calf cramp kept giving me issues, but the overall time was about what I expected. What would you do differently?: Run more hills Post race
Warm down: Walk, and drink What limited your ability to perform faster: Inexperience. Swimming still needs lots of work, and running needs more priority in training. I spent most of my training learning to swim again. Now, I need to be more equal with training Event comments: It was my first one so I don't know how to rate. it was a hometown event.
