Swim
Comments: Much Harder than expected with 96 in our wave, rough water, cold water, could never relax and stretch out my swimming. Hard to catch breath, Adrenaline rush killed me at start. What would you do differently?: Not drink too much preworkout go go juice, relax, let people go by and get more rhythm Transition 1
Comments: Swim Kicked my rear, i was tired and winded, used T1 to get my wits about me, get my stuff on, and mentally prep for the next segments. What would you do differently?: jog/run, no socks for bike shoes, try and be under 2:00 Bike
Comments: Started off a little slow, getting used to riding.. need a better way to get drinks, then I could really go much faster... passed a bunch of people, but What would you do differently?: should have gone harder and faster. Don't save for the run, it won't matter anyway. Transition 2
Comments: really was good time until had to go pee, i went opposite direction from run exit and spent 1 minute in porta john... my bike legs weren't as bad because of extra time What would you do differently?: Not go to the bathroom during T2 Run
Comments: Very Hot Humid Houston day, the run took all I had and then some.. just past halfway, i tossed my cookies... and then it actually got easier Walked about 8 times What would you do differently?: Drink more water and less other along the way, commit to running and not walking at all Post race
Warm down: 2 gatorades, towell dry, then the euphoria of you did, now are done. What limited your ability to perform faster: nothing Event comments: Everything was Great over 300 volunteers, Friday Bike Drop, beer, drawings, swim practice week before on the course, really a great day.. Guadalajara patio afterwards for fajita's and Margaritas... 5 minutes from venue. Last updated: 2010-05-13 12:00 AM
