Swim
Comments: Felt descent. For the first race start of the year, I am pretty happy with this swim. I don't rememer where the mat was, but I think there was a bit of a run from the shore into transition. Found some god feet to draft on. Probally waited a bit longer than I should have to pass the guys I was drafting, but overall I'm pleased with the swim What would you do differently?: Push a little harder to stay with the ft group and get a good drafting position. Transition 1
Comments: Went straight to the bike. I hesitated as to whetherI would practice the transiiton like HIMand put on the calf compression, or just go. I opted for just go! Mounted the bike with the jump (ie Cross mount) I was surprised to see that I was leavig transition and starting out with Dave(Kilo) Of course by the time I was in, he took off like a shot and I never saw hima again. Bike
Comments: BEing only the 2nd sprint, and training for the HIM, I kinda forgot the idea of going all out from the start. It took most of the 1st lap before I was warmed up. It wasn't until the middle of the second lap that I realized I had a lot more to give. It was the kind of deal where I was spinning easy, without much muscle tension. It was a fun flat course, 3 laps. What would you do differently?: It was more of a training day, but if I were racing sprints, adjust the mind set to push hard and ast from the start, and don't let up unti transition. Transition 2
Comments: Took a bit to get the socks on, but otherwise not bad. What would you do differently?: Need to clip the # belt on with the clip in the ft as opposed to reaching behind me. Run
Comments: All things considered, this was a descent run for me. Things has always been, and continues to be my crutch. The course was fun on a dirt road with one bugg hill on the way out. IT was a little easier on the way back, and the last 1.4 was pretty much a slight downhill. I lost 3 positions in the last .5 miles. I woiuld ry to match the tempo, but couldn't really hold it. The guys that passed me averaged 7.35 or so pace. Pretty much the last .4 was damage control and not losing any more spots What would you do differently?: Keep working on my run, i has gotten better, and hopefully will continue to do so. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: IT was a good training day. Needed to go harder on the bike. Event comments: Fun training day. Last updated: 2010-05-14 12:00 AM

Woke up early and drove up with Shannon and Aidan. Aidan had the better end of the deal as he slept no worries.
20 minutes b4 the close of transition, ran out onto the bike course for 10 minute jog WU
