Comments:

This was my first OW and it was very different than I expected. The start was brutal... legs and arms everywhere, but once I found my zone, I was ok.
What would you do differently?:

I should have had more practice in a wet suit before the race.
Transition 1
  • 03m 24s
Comments:

I struggled getting my feet out of my wet suit.
What would you do differently?:

I just need wet suit practice
Bike
  • 1h 02m 4s
  • 20 miles
  • 19.33 mile/hr
Comments:

I just pushed myself hard.... I just shut my mind off and kicked it into gear. I did crash on a hill and jammed my hand really bad.. but I finished strong
What would you do differently?:

It was a great ride. I felt like I did really well.
Transition 2
  • 02m 29s
Comments:

This was my first time using bike shoes... so it was new for my to have to change shoes during T2... I thin kit went pretty well
Run
  • 1h 17m 59s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 12m 34s  min/mile
Comments:

It was a great run. About half way the volunteers "splashed" me with water and it SOAKED my socks and shoes... during the rest of the run I got some blisters from it... so it slowed me down a bit
What would you do differently?:

No regrets really. I was on such a natural high during the run I could have cared less about my pace. I was just happy to be out there doing it. It was a great race.
Post race
Warm down:

Stretching and some walking to cool down

What limited your ability to perform faster:

With a jammed hand and blisters....I crossed the finish line with a smile on my face. :D I MIGHT have been able to go faster, but I am beyond happy with how well I did

Event comments:

The race was amazing! Beautiful day and lots and lots of fun for everyone!!!
