Pre-race routine:

Woke up around 5am had 2 bananas and peanut butter, drank some Amino-Vital
Loaded up the car with all my stuff in the car got my son ready and off we went.....
Event warmup:

Did some stretching and went for a short easy jog around 7 mins.... Then went to the starting line to hook up with a couple of buddies....

The run was awesome the only problem was I forgot to charge my IPOD and at about mile 2 it was done..... Never ran without music before ( didn't really like it either ) to much time to think....
What would you do differently?:

Charge the IPOD.....

Warm down:

Did some stretching walked around for about 15 mins then headed home to get me a Guinness.....

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Sore knee.... No IPOD???????? Maybe....

I went out very strong and steady mile 1 9:04 mile 3 I was at 27:11 great pace for me I was hoping to reach my target of 2:04:00 and at this point of the race I was on target.... Mile 5 more of the same I was at 46:07 by mile 9 I was ahead of pace and started thinking about 2:00:00 mile 10 1:29:17 still doing good then it hit me my right knee started to hurt so I decided to back of my pace since this was not my race ( IMAZ IS THE ONE THAT COUNTS ) I had a great time out there and the crowd support was wonderful...... Thanx to all that volunteered out there... You make a difference...
Course: The course was awesome a beutiful run down coast highway 101... What else needs to be said....
