Swim
Comments: Started way to the left to avoid contact and to see if I could get swimming a little quicker than normal. I usually am so concerned with getting beat up the first half of the race is bad. It worked. I had a good swim for me. I never go the chance to get on any feet because I was out on my own for most of the race. What would you do differently?: I need to get back to swim training. I was a slacker and only swam twice in the 2 weeks prior to race. Transition 1
Comments: nothing special. I wanted to just b erelaxed an try catch my breath after the swim. What would you do differently?: not much. Bike
Comments: Straight off the bat my legs did not feel good. I thought it was because I had a harder/faster swim for me. I just kept plugging away hoping they would come around. My legs never got much worse, feeling wise, but I did not have great sensations today. I ended up riding at about 90% of FTP which is a little low, but that required a lot of effort to do it. I would want to be at about 93-95% for thi sdistance. Maybe the lower numbers were a result of not having great feeling legs. What would you do differently?: Nothing. I kept riding hard even when not feeling 100% Transition 2
Comments: I was a little shaky getting my feet out of my shoes coming up to dismount. I also struggled for 1 or 2 secs to get my helmet unclipped. What would you do differently?: nuttin Run
Comments: So I wanted to go a touch harder off the bike instead of waiting to get my legs under me. I started well and got going. I had to work the whole way. I think the extra effort on the bike took a bit out of me. Went well and even though the last 2mi were pretty dammn tough I was still able to finish it up pretty strong. What would you do differently?: get faster Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: not having great legs on the bike and still having a suspect swim. Event comments: Justin park (professional) was 1st across the line, a couple of days ahead of everyone. I was awarded the prize for 3rd overall, they took Justin out of AG awards. They do not double dip, so I was not awarded 1st OA Master Last updated: 2010-05-26 12:00 AM
