Comments: I felt great on the run. I started out fast and pretty much held on until the end. I haven't trained on hills since March, and my legs suffered because of it. I arrived in the morining ready to attempt a sub 20 min race, but when I went to turn on the garmin, it was dead. So I had no way of pacing myself other than feel. I think if I would have known my pace, I could have paced myself a little better and come in a little faster. What would you do differently?: Ultimately, I just needed some hill training, but since this wasn't a planned race, I am extremely happy with the effort. Again, it would have been helpful to know my pace throughout the race. Post race
Warm down: Nothing special just light stretching What limited your ability to perform faster: No hill training or Garmin Event comments: This is a PR for me, and the first time I've placed in my AG. Overall this race is a victory for me. I had the lead group in sight for the whole race and was under 4 mins back from the winner. I am happy with this race and can't wait for the next on n July 3rd. Arrived about an hour prior to race start. I ate two pieces of toast and a banana about 2 hours before the race with a cup of coffee.
