Swim
Comments: I started near the back of my wave, and for this race there was a lot more people in my wave. I waded a good 10-15 yards before I started swimming, which allowed me to get towards the front while everyone else started out swimming. I decided that I would sight every 2-3 breath cycles so that I wouldn't go off course at all. It was a great idea, and I didn't have any problems. What would you do differently?: More training. Transition 1
Bike
Comments: I went harder on this course because I wanted a fast bike split. My position felt faster, although it was harder to see since I'm lower now. I didn't take any water with me. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 2
What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: Not as many aid stations this time around. I found myself craving a splash of water at some points. I'm not sure why this run was so slow. I must have lost fitness prior to the race. My main focus on the run was passing Sparty and getting as far ahead of him as possible. I ran hard from the beginning and kept going hard. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Post race
Warm down: Ate the post race food and pounded my GU Recovery Brew. Event comments: Another awesome race put on by Running Fit. Tons of volunteers. It is easy to see that Running Fit tries their hardest to put on the best race possible. The series was well worth the $150. I ended up with tons of swag after the races. Left my house at 3:30 and listened to the Booty Mix the whole way up.
Swam for about 10 minutes and then stood around for the start.
