Comments: I went out a little too slow, and had to force myself to pick it up for the last 4 km. I did not stick to my plan of keeping my heart rate zones under control, if I had, I think it would have been a much smoother race. What would you do differently?: Go out a little harder than I did for the first half, but in general, I thought it was alright. Post race
Warm down: After finishing, walked and stretched out my legs for about 10 mins and then had a couple glasses of water and a banana. What limited your ability to perform faster: Slow start in the race. Event comments: This was a great race and I really enjoyed the organization level. Woke up early to get in my morning stretch, ate a bowl of oatmeal w/ brown sugar and had 2 glasses of water and 1/2 a bottle of gatorade before getting to race.
Easy jogging for about 10 mins and light stretch to loosen up muscles before race start.
