Comments: Reaching the turn around bouy was a bit of a chore with so many swimmers around. I think I was going a bit too fast as well (guess I needed to setle in a bit). Most of the course I did pretty good but was not too happy with my navigation. I kept correcting myself, by turning left towards the wall quite a few times. The last 1/4 of the race was very choppy and only got worst as we got closer to the mouth of the cove. Inside the cove, it felt as if the current was completely against us. I found myself struggling to maintain even a decent pace. Several swimmers that were behind me managed to pass me about 75yd from the mouth of the cove. What would you do differently?: Train more. I definately need to get more yards in the pool. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Ate & drank everything I could find. What limited your ability to perform faster: Navigation and finding a rythm in the choppy water. Event comments: Look forward to doing this race every year. Have not been able to do it for the past few. Hopefully that will change from here on. Last updated: 2010-05-29 12:00 AM

Left the house on the bike for the subway at 10:00am, got to the site at 11:00am. Met Jonah, waited to see if I could leave my bike with the baggage truck. Helped reorganize the baggage to make room for it.
No warm up, simply did some stretching. Was warming up pretty fast in the full suite.
