Comments: Had laid off training for a while because of my knee so intended to go at a 10 to 11 minute mile pace. Ended up pacing with someone at about a 9min 10 sec pace for the first 8miles instead. Knee started getting tired so I backed off and just enjoyed the rest of the day. Extremely happy with my first 1/2 marathon race. What would you do differently?: More training time. Start off slower and finish stronger. Post race
Warm down: Grab some fluids, light stretching through on dry shirt and wind gear so as not to get chilly. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training. Event comments: Great race for a first timer. Lots of support and volunteers. It will be a very memorable day in a postitive way.
