Pre-race routine:

Meds and some extra tylenol. Lots of stretching for the old knees. Ate a banana, PowerBar, Coffee and Water

Very dissapointed with my swim. I really didn't have my heart in it and my mind was wandering. Goggles fogged up too and I never really pushed it.
What would you do differently?:

Just stay more focused and give a better effort. Get a little more fired up for these things.

First time with no socks and i liked it. Forgot rubber bands to keep pedals set while running so my shoes scraped quite a bit.

I relize for most people this is poor, but I was happy with my time. The run is my worst part with two aching knees with a few surgeries on them. I did start cramping up at abput 2.5 but pushed through it.
What would you do differently?:

Someone reccomended Clif ShotBloc, margarita flavor because it has high sodium. Going to try it in a few weeks at the Genesis

Seems to have lost a little steam from last year. Low sponsors and no swag at all. Post race party was ok, but i usually don't hang for long anyway
