Comments: OK so I seeded myself a little bit to low. I could have went a lot faster but I was stuck with the slower people. I felt like there was a lot left in me after this. Drafting and passing was hard because we only had half a lane to work in. What would you do differently?: Seed myself higher so I can get out in front faster! Transition 1
Comments: Im not sure if I was super fast but the transition went really smooth, especially since I did not ever practice before. What would you do differently?: I guess I should practice it before hand. Bike
Comments: OK I started off really good here. I was flying and I think I that could have finished this thing in about 35-45 min time frame. I don't really know because Ive never gone this fast. Hills were short and I was destroying everyone in front of me. However, at mile 5, my right pedal literally stripped from the bolt and would not stay in the hole. I spent a good 5-10 mins trying to get it to stay but it just wouldn't. So finally I just decided to go one legged lol. And I did and I finished it, albeit much slower than what I would've liked... What would you do differently?: Try to check the pedal or figure out a way to reattach it. Transition 2
Comments: Did good here to as well since I didnt have any cycling shoes to take off. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: It was a hot run... did good but I think I couldve done a lot better if my left leg wasnt so bummed from pedaling 8 miles just prior. What would you do differently?: Nothing... just try to use both legs for the bike! Post race
Warm down: Just kinda hung around... nothing special. I was tired. What limited your ability to perform faster: Two things: seeding myself to low in the swim so I get caught up with all the other slower people and my bike breaking. Woke up at 0400 and had a smoothie, clif bar, and some coffee and water. Then loaded up at around 0500 and headed to the race but we were there for a while just waiting. Got a spot right at the end of the rack where I was so that was good.
Swam 200 meters and felt like I felt good.
