Pre-race routine:

Got up early and hit the road. Left the house just before 5:00 AM. Had a peanut butter sandwich on the way to the race.
Event warmup:

Swam about 200 yards, got acclimated to the water. First open water swim of the year. Really weedy and murky conditions.

Took almost a full minute longer this year over last. Might have been bike positioning in area, but I need to work on picking up the speed again.

Warm down:

Met up with some fellow Donkey triathletes. Had a few bagels/banana and water.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Probably could have pushed it a little more but I felt pretty good overall.
