Don't really have one. Wake up, eat some breakfast (oatmeal), go to race.

Thought I'd be faster this year than last. Apparently not. I paced fine and finished with a group of people in wave, so that was good. Only got overtaken by a couple of swimmers in the group behind me. Was the swim a bit longer this year...?

I'm really slow in T1. I take the time to wipe my feet, put on socks...Slow.
What would you do differently?:

I need to practice these. Possibly learn to transition with my shoes in the pedals, although I'm afraid I'll take a spill doing so.

I'm always a bit slow getting my feet under me in these short runs. I definitely sped up through the last two miles once I got the breathing under control. The one hill on the course is in a sinister area (for me)...only about 1/3 mile into the run.
What would you do differently?:

Not too much. I'd like to be faster, but the IM training I've been doing doesn't really lend itself to this.

Enjoyed this race. I hope to continue improving and maybe be a contender next year in my age group.
