Swim
Comments: Rumor was current would have been with us on longer return leg. Swimmming is usually my best area, but who can tell what would have happened. Transition 1
Comments: So we had a time trial start to T1. Kinda funny. I chased Becky into transition with a smile on both of our faces. I thought I was doing OK, but I guess I could have sprinted faster. New twist for me with putting the patch kit in my jersey. Took an extra second. What would you do differently?: strap kit to bike so I don't have to mess with it. Bike
Comments: ind felt like it was mostly in our face our at our back. I felt good, but legs were a little sore earlier than I expected. I ride harder than this most weekends. Maybe I didn't get a full taper? What would you do differently?: Not sure. Felt good, used power meter to make sure I left some in my legs. I think I could have gone a little faster. The wind was rough, but manageable Transition 2
Comments: I felt good about my T2. Had a little difficulty with the shoes, but was OK. Out and was able to pick up pace pretty well. What would you do differently?: Not much. Run
Comments: I had, for me, a GREAT run. I felt pretty strong, and kept a nice pace for the first 11 miles. I ran walked by walking for a minute every 16 or so. This really worked for me. It started to heat up a little and maybe I should have iced myself, but I was feeling pretty strong. I think I can do better, but was very satisfied. What would you do differently?: Not sure. Push a tiny little bit more in the late miles. Would have been nice to even or negative split. Post race
Warm down: Talked to a few people, drank a water and a gatorade and showered. Had a coke and waited for Becky and then ate. What limited your ability to perform faster: Maybe not a decent taper. Also, the achilles bugged me on the bike. Event comments: For me, to race at the national championship was awesome. I improved my splits on the two legs we did and feel really good about it. I may sign up for the gator again just to stay motivated! Last updated: 2010-06-06 12:00 AM

Some active stretching and then.....No Swim announcement. Waited around in line FREEZING (was below 65 degrees, cold for me) till 8:44.
