Swim
Comments: I let everyone go past me since I suck at swimming. Sighted and kept my line OK for most of it. I coulden't get my tempo and breathing in sync and took too many breaks on my back to rest. What would you do differently?: Just need more water time to more comfortable swimming. Transition 1
Comments: Got back to T1 and everything was soaked. Struggled getting my bike jersey on. What would you do differently?: Roll shirt up so that I could just roll it over me. Bike
Comments: My legs never felt fresh. It seemed I was struggling all through it. I just concentrated on keeping my cadence up. At least my bike computor still worked. Once I got to the turnaround I picked up some good speed. Just in time for the torrential down pour! The rain was actually coming down so hard it hurt! I just laughed outloud! Here I am, biking in a driving rain, so far from the lead it's not even funny, and I WAS ENJOYING MYSELF! What would you do differently?: Not much. Transition 2
Comments: In and out od T2 was uneventful. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Took me a couple miles to get my running legs. I eventually got into a steady rythem. Weather was a mix of steammy sun shine and rain. Took water at the aid stations. I kept good solid pace right through to the end. What would you do differently?: Not much. Maybe push up pace more at the end. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of experiance had me over thinking some things. I'll get quicker the more tri's I do. Event comments: Having team mates cheering and getting to meet some great people made for a fun day. Excellent chow in the dining hall. I had hoped to do a little better. It was a good event to highlight areas that I need to work on. Last updated: 2010-06-07 12:00 AM

I woke up at 4:00 to a steady rain. Ate usual toast & peanut butter, banana and coffee. Loaded up the car and was on the road by 5. I got turned around trying to take a new route to Penn Yan and luckily followed a car loaded with tri bikes to Keuka College. Picked up race pack and headed to transition. Rain was between a drizzle and steady until start of swim.
Sipped a G2 until swim. Swam about 5 mins before start.
