Swim
Comments: Clear water, we started right in front of a sandbar waist deep. I saw the elites run, then do dolphin almost to the first buoy so I decided to do the same: super fast results! The water was really choppy but because it was clear it didn't seem daunting. I enjoyed this swim, but I got out of the water and noticed there was a woman in my age group ahead of me...grrr. What would you do differently?: Maybe next time I would swim out a little more so that waves didn't knock me inside the buoy line, but then again, I was all by myself and nobody kicked me, so I liked that. Transition 1
Comments: This included a long run along a sandy beach and up a hill. I did fine with everything here. Bike
Comments: I do feel I didn't work it as hard as the Jekyll tri, but maybe that's why my run was so much stronger this time. What would you do differently?: try to push it a little more or not? will have to experiment with that. Transition 2
Comments: perfect, fast Run
Comments: My BEST ever tri run! I couldn't believe the time because I did the first mile in 10 mins. Yeah. Post race
Warm down: stretch a little, drank a lot, ate a LOT What limited your ability to perform faster: nada, this was much faster than I've ever gone. Event comments: LOVED this race!!! And not just because I had a great race. I love ROTARY; rotarians are so generous, they know how to get out and volunteer, plus they are so kind hearted. This is a great race for a great cause! I knew going in the competition would be tough so I wasn't worried about placing mid pack: these FL women are fast. The one who won my AG could have placed 4th overall in men's division. I mean FAST Last updated: 2010-06-07 12:00 AM
