Swim
Comments: I suck at swimming. I was doing good through the first 200 meters. Once I made the first turn, I got hit in the face and it went downhill from there. I am really at a lost on what to do about race swimming. What would you do differently?: Keep at it. Transition 1
Comments: Pretty good transition. It was a very tight transition area and a downhill run with the bike made it interesting. What would you do differently?: Just pick up the pace. I was pretty gassed after the swim and the uphill run. Bike
Comments: Just eh...Wasn't really happy with this at all. I just couldn't seem to get the legs going. Transition 2
Comments: Had to stop well short of the dismount line b/c of an ambulance coming out. Uphill run back to transition then had some trouble finding my spot. Once I made it there, someone racked their bike in my spot so I had to move it. Got the running shoes on and got out of there. What would you do differently?: I just messed this one up. Need to remember where my rack is. Run
Comments: I just blew up. Didn't have my head in it at all. I was upset about the swim, disappointed with the bike, and just didn't have my head in the game. What would you do differently?: Mental toughness. I know I am faster than that. Just need to man up. Post race
Warm down: Grabbed some water and found some shade. What limited your ability to perform faster: It's all in my head. Once I had a bad swim, I let that dictate the rest of my day. I am going to really pick up the training. A lot of swimming and running. I have kinda just been sitting back lately. I am going to pick a plan, hit it hard and see what kind of results I can get. Event comments: Good race with lots of volunteers. Other than the poor performance I had, I still had a good time. Last updated: 2010-06-08 12:00 AM

Got up early, had some oatmeal with nuts and fruit, some coffee and headed out the door.
Short jog, then made my way down to the lake for a short swim.
