Comments: I wanted to swim What would you do differently?: SWIM ![]() Transition 1
Comments: The swim really sorts out the non-experienced, no swim more congestion, but I still led most of the people out of transition What would you do differently?: Get my helmet on with better ease, took two tries because the buckle got tucked ![]() Bike
Comments: Pleased, but not happy, needed more base, need to get the miles up before WF What would you do differently?: BASE ![]() Transition 2
Comments: Great T2 considering all the people in Transtion at the time What would you do differently?: Nothing ![]() Run
Comments: Good run for me What would you do differently?: More weight loss and better heart rate on bike would have helped ![]() Post race
Warm down: BRUNCH Event comments: I am not given it a better rating, simply because of the lack of swim, can't blame the race organizer, but I would have liked to swim it Last updated: 2006-01-19 12:00 AM

Up at 6:30, ate half bagel with PB, banana, and sipped gatorade and water all morning
Went out into the water, waves we breaking every 30-50 yds, 6-7ft swells, it was going to be rough. The race director tried to what it out, first group goes off (have you ever seen a current so strong that it takes the lead swimmers 30 mintues to get to the bouy, I have), so they move the swim into 100 yds off shore, still not working, the women still couldn't get out there. Now the director is freakin out, well how about we let you all run in the water ankle high, and make it a duathlon. JUST WHAT I WANTED, NOT. I understand the safety aspect, but I also love the fact the swim clears out the experienced and non-experienced. We went in a hour after oringal, so I had a little bit of pwer bar because I was starting to feel hungry, because the race still hadn't started.
