Swim
Comments: was passed by the three guys behind me within the first couple of lanes and then latched onto the feet of the guy that originally started right behind me and drafted off him for the remainder of the swim What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 1
What would you do differently?: when I ran out of transition, I saw that I was in the big ring and the mount was on a little uphill... so next time, I need to check that I am in a small gear. fortunately, one of the volunteers gave me a good push. Bike
Comments: climbing legs really never showed up Transition 2
What would you do differently?: need to get more efficient in the transition zone Run
Comments: goal was not to walk this time which meant to make sure that I wouldn't go out too fast, I walked through the aid station but that was it What would you do differently?: pace was too conservative. have to find middle way between too fast and not trying hard enough Post race
Warm down: walked around for a couple of minutes, signed up for a free 5 minute massage and then stretched What limited your ability to perform faster: no taper Event comments: first time they did this race and there were some areas that need improvement like: showing it as 15 mile bike, then send out e-mail that it is a 12 mile bike now only to find out on the course that it's 13.9 miles... a little confusing, but I am sure that I have fixed that next year Last updated: 2010-06-09 12:00 AM

Was early at race site and had enough time to drive the bike course. Then set up transition and picked up timing chip.
ZERO. Lined up at the side of the pool and chatted with the people in front and behind me.
