Swim
Comments: Started at left of everyone and tried to go hard and strong to start. I had some anxiety, but regained full composure after a while. I soon forgot my rhythm, and stopped thinking. I lost sight of most people and worried about how I was doing. I struggled to stay straight, but managed ok. I was surprised by how fast my swim was compared to the bike and run. What would you do differently?: Not really sure. Maybe try to settle down a little sooner. Maybe try to get in a rhythm sooner. maybe in the future I should plan my start and then how I transition into a rhythm. Transition 1
Comments: I don't remember the first transition. It was a blur. I felt good, but obviously took a lot of time to get it done. Bike
What would you do differently?: I think I could definitely have pushed myself harder on the bike. Transition 2
Comments: I barely remember this transition. What would you do differently?: Not sure. Run
What would you do differently?: Should have pushed harder. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: My mind Event comments: Really nice place to have a race. The people in the town, the volunteers, and all the participants were really nice and helpful. Last updated: 2010-06-14 12:00 AM

Got up early (5:45) ate yogurt, ate a power bar close to race time, ate a banana, ate 2 GU packs (one before, one on bike)
Not much of anything...stretched...swam for a minute in the frigid water.
