Swim
Comments: The swim is my best leg. I had a great swim. I went out a little to fast but was able to swim the entire leg. Started off to the far right, and swam out and over. I would rather spend a little more energy to stay out of the mess. What would you do differently?: Pace a little better. Transition 1
Comments: T2 was a little slow. A very long run from out of the water to get into transition. Cap and goggles came off very easy. Helmet and sunglasses went smmoth. Putting on socks could have been a little better. Shoes where good. I knocked my bike comouter off while leaving T1. Picked it up and put it back on. What would you do differently?: do not knock bick comp off. Work on getting shoes on. Bike
Comments: The bike course was flat and fast. My goal was to avg over 20mph. I did not achieve my goal but get increase my overall speed but 1 mph against last year. I took about 1/2 a GU towards the end of the bike. What would you do differently?: I road this to hard. I need to train harder and ride in a faster group during my group rides. My legs were shot after the bike Transition 2
Comments: I thought I had a good T2. I was beat coming off the bike. What would you do differently?: Work on getting shoes on better. Run
Comments: I was very disappointed in my run. I thought I had trained hard enough to run faster then I did. My goal was to run under 9 min miles. Came no where close. I normally cramp a little on the run in my calves. There was no cramping this time What would you do differently?: I need to train harder and do a couple brick work outs Post race
Warm down: Stretched and walked around trying to lower my heart rate. They had a outdoor shower set up with cool misting water. A lifesaver. What limited your ability to perform faster: It was VERY hot. I hydrated maybe a little to much. I need to train harder and better in the bike and run. I need to ride in a faster group ride to make sure my legs and handle a faster pace. Event comments: I thoguht this was good race. They spilt the Sprint and Oly races this year which made everything run smoother. CGI puts on a great race. I would not change anything about this race. Last updated: 2010-06-16 12:00 AM

Up at 4:15. Ate small bowl of cereal and had cup of coffee. Left the house at 5 for an hour drive to Hamilton Township. Ate 1/2 a Luna bar on the way. Took about 1/2 a GU while leaving transition and heading to swim start
I was not able to warm up for this race. While checking to make sure I had the right amount of PSI in my front, I broke the valve stem. I had to run over the bike tent and get the tube fixed. They did not put enough air in the tire and when I tried to use a CO2 cart, I mistakenly flattened my tire. I had to run out to my car, grab my pump, and fill the tire up. This all took place from 6 to 710. The race started at 730. Always bring your pump into trnasition
