Pre-race routine:

Tried to stay dry and comfortable. Luckily I was in the 3rd wave so I didn't have to wait as long in the rain.
Event warmup:

Porta - johns and trying to keep my gear dry to no avail.
Swim
  • 33m 13s
  • 1640 yards
  • 02m 01s / 100 yards
Comments:

This was the first time that I actually enjoyed a swim in a triathlon. I finally got to wear a wetsuit and the course could not have been marked better. It was nicew to have a bouy every 100 meters because it reminded me of the pool. I kept saying to myself "1/4 of the way there, 1/2 way there, 200 meters left"
What would you do differently?:

Nthing. For not being a strong swimmer this was an improvement for me on my longest tri swim to date.
Transition 1
  • 04m 29s
Comments:

Wow! This was a long run back to transition area. It felt like 2 football fields. My T1 transition in my last race was 1:30 so this was a disappointment
What would you do differently?:

Run fsster than I did
Bike
  • 1h 09m 5s
  • 24.85 miles
  • 21.58 mile/hr
Comments:

Can't imagine what is was like for the later waves because this was tightly packed racing. I went back and forth with a group of guys basically the whole time which kept me focused. I have never been that tight with so many riders before and I enjoyed it.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe push a little harder, but not too much
Transition 2
  • 01m 48s
Comments:

This was more like it although it could have been faster. I forgot my race belt but luckily I remembered in about 10 seconds
What would you do differently?:

Remember my race belt
Run
  • 44m 41s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 07m 12s  min/mile
Comments:

Could have pushed harder. I was unsure of myself since this was my first olympic. Next time will be faster
What would you do differently?:

Push the pace a little bit more
Post race
Warm down:

Saw the fam and got some water

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My own mind. Thats it!

Event comments:

Events on time was no fault of their own, it was the weather
