Swim
What would you do differently?: The only thing I did wrong this year is get caught behind a couple of people who seeded themselves incorrectly. Transition 1
Comments: All time hilarious moment happened as I came out of the swim and the announcer said my name, followed by "one of the top clydesdales on the Long Island circuit." Huh? At least it gave me something to giggle over during the bike...and my wife something to tease me about for the rest of the week. What would you do differently?: A big improvement from last year but I can still be much more efficient in getting my shoes on. Bike
What would you do differently?: Take the turns a little harder? With three short loops, it is hard to get into a really good rhythm. Transition 2
What would you do differently?: Darn you socks! I really didn't need you!! Run
What would you do differently?: Move to a run / walk pattern a little bit sooner. I was trying to do it all via jogging and it just didn't work. Post race
Warm down: Wander around until I saw my name on the sheet for my time...then sit on pins and needles until I saw where everyone else finished. :) Event comments: Tri and Du It always puts on a great race. This is a great race for beginners who didn't start their training with their resolution to do a triathlon in January. Last updated: 2010-06-18 12:00 AM

Last of my old race reports that will clog up that forum until the weekend comes. :)
I don't remember much about this race, other than I actually shocked both my wife and myself by getting the top Clydesdale podium spot. I still have the photo of two tall and fit guys standing next to a more round one - me! My wife recently told me that it still makes her laugh because it just looks silly. :)
