Pre-race routine:

Up at 4 am, headed down to lake and transition. Set up, sat on hill for hours eating my pb and honey sandwiches.

I started WAY too far back in the wave. Took me forever to climb over all the breast strokers. Was very stupid of me. Finally got past them all and into a groove. My time sucked though, wasted too much of it getting past people. Lesson learned.

Got a calf cramp as I was taking off wetsuit, so I had to sit down. Slowed me down.

Felt great on the bike, slightly annoyed by the number of people not riding on the left like they were supposed to. Happy with my pace.

Took LOTS of Peak Bars, I paid way too much for the race.

I had a blast, and will be back next year. With a better swim, a new bike, and a faster run :)
