Swim
Comments: Strong first 300m then arms got fatigued. Transition 1
Bike
Comments: okay bike leg, lap 1 was a struggle to recover from either swim or transition run. About as good as could be expected given recent training. Drank 4 x 20 oz, 1 scoop of Endurowhatever. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Felt good off bike, up dam hill, not so good on the descent then it started raining. Then it started raining hard. Then the lightning started just before the turnaround. At this point I was 99% sure the race was cancelled, they have no tolerance for lightning and little tolerance for heavy rain, my only hope was that I was at the extreme west side of the course and the heavy stuff and lightning was further west. After the turnaround there was a minivan heading out to the aid station and the last aid station was unstaffed (but they left cups of water sitting out for us). I had let the effort slack when the rain got heavy and much more so as it became clear the race was cancelled so I didn't push the pace up the last hills to the finish. I was shocked by the complete lack of people at the finish, only a couple dozen folks who had already finished. Post race
Event comments: Cancelled due to weather, at least this year we got to start and finish, didn't even get to start last year. Thanks to JCPR for making the splits available. Last updated: 2010-06-21 12:00 AM

Little training in month leading up to this race due to combination of illness, work, and family so I had low expectations and met them. With the exception of T1, all my times were within 22s of times from 2008, overall was 50s faster. I was much more prepared but less experienced in 2008.
Biked a couple miles and swam to start
