Swim
Comments: Started right in the mix of things. Very congested, especially at the turns. Water temp was just right. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 1
Comments: Had a little trouble getting into shoes. Otherwise, about par for me. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Bike
Comments: Cadence on my bike computer was not working. I felt lost without it. I was not happy with my time. On the flats, I stayed 20 - 21 mph according to my computer and was hoping to break 20 mph for the first time. My computer pace was 19.6. What would you do differently?: Go to a higher gear and maintain 85 - 90 rpms. Transition 2
Comments: One of my best T2's What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: Felt good going out. It was hot with one very steep ravine in the woods. I had to walk up the hill which is a no-no for me. The run is my strongest area, but I felt really bad in the woods. Was able to get some fluids down and felt much stronger on the pavement back to the finish. What would you do differently?: More fluids although I emptied my bottle on the bike and drank at every aid station on the run. So, ???? Post race
Warm down: The tents with the water spray was outstanding and really helped cool me down. What limited your ability to perform faster: Dehydration. Event comments: Well organized with a great swim and bike venue. I am a road runner, xterra. Last updated: 2010-06-21 12:00 AM
