Swim
Comments: Did a pretty decent job drafting off someone else the first 200 meters but then passed him and did a terrible job navigating. For some reason I went very wide around the mid point and ended up swimming through the weeds. Not sure why I had such a hard time but I definitely did. What would you do differently?: Better job sighting Transition 1
Comments: nothing to complain about here. I decided to run with shoes and clip in and had a few issues once I mounted. What would you do differently?: just a better job clipping in. need to practice more with shoes already clipped in before implementing it in a race. Bike
Comments: This is the first time my bike rank has been better than my swim (overall). I have been working hard on the new ride so maybe it is paying off. at least that is what I told the wife to help justify the cost :) What would you do differently?: Not much as I pushed hard and was not passed by anyone for the first time since racing. Transition 2
Comments: I did leave the shoes on for the dismount and it seemed to go well. Run
Comments: I possibly could have pushed this a little harder but I am happy with the results. I caught up with a fast gal from the open wave and kept her pace until I hit the 2 mile mark and then pushed passed and to the finish. What would you do differently?: push a little harder but it was starting to get hot. Post race
Warm down: just cooled down with some water and ice cream. What limited your ability to perform faster: more training... My first AG win and I was pumped about that. Event comments: great local race that I will definitely do again next year. Last updated: 2010-06-21 12:00 AM
